Singular forms (sometimes repeated)
Singular
forms (sometimes repeated) (2010) is the latest solo
album of composer Sylvain Chauveau. He has released an album in which all the
sounds he’s heard during his life are deconstructed to their base level. From stone to cloud, Show the clear and
lonely way, The unbroken line, Complexity of the simple, Slowburner (with
stillness), To a cloud of dust and ending with I ascended, the album paints the music in every detail, as it was
completely naked to be dressed again in a completely different way. Classical
music is here view from the present, with the current rhythms in mind, the
daily life of the western societies goes into all the music past and gives it a
new life, a new pulse. The popular roots give it a new form and make classical
and mainstream meet in a wonderful creativity.
