Gardenia

It’s thanks to Ibrahim Ferrer’s “Dos gardenias para ti.” that the directors Alain Platel and Frank Van Laecke have come up with their new Gardenia Project, and it all comes from an idea by Vanessa Van Durme. These guys manage to combine their talents and transform the stage into an overflowing intense musical scenario where nobody seems to be quite what they are. It’s like an Alice of Wonderland secret garden, with the odd thorn thrown in for good measure. Sounds intriguing huh, well if you pop down to the Theatre Lluire, you can make your own mind up.
